Easy access

One of the major benefits of living and working in the Menlyn Maine precinct it its accessibility. As part of the initial phase of development, the entire Menlyn area will undergo a dynamic change with regards to its road networks.

SANRAL is spending approximately R300M to upgrade the Garstfontein and Atterbury offramps. Combined with this Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings is spending another R76M upgrading the feeder road network in and around the precinct. These improvements include entirely new roads, as well as increases in capacity of the existing network.

Over and above the road network, there are plans to link the node to the Gautrain system. This will be done via the BRT system, with a direct link to the Hatfield station.

Menlyn Maine is one of the initial global projects proud to strive toward becoming Climate Positive. The Climate Positive Program is a project of the Clinton Climate Initiative and the USGBC. It addresses the dual challenge of climate change and rapid urbanization, demonstrating that cities can grow in ways that are “climate positive,” reducing the amount of on-site greenhouse gas emissions to below zero.
